Camp only on U.S. Forest Service lands, not on private lands. There is an 18-mile stretch where no camping is allowed from the river-front in Corvallis to the North Ridge Trail parking area other than by pre-arrangement at the Marys River Grange just west of Philomath. The last six miles to and including Ona Beach Park are also private land or State land with no over-night-camping. If you have a 2021 paper map, all the Forest Service lands are shown in green. The fiberglass-post signs along the trail also indicate camping or no-camping.
A no-camping Symbol means “No Camping” in the trail section ahead of the sign (even in the presence of a U.S. Forest Service logo.) The presence of a U.S. Forest Service logo and the absence of a No Camping Symbol means camping is allowed in the trail section ahead.
